Each child will receive an individualized treatment plan, with goals that are regularly reviewed and adjusted throughout the therapeutic process. Both parents and children are encouraged to provide ongoing feedback to help A Wilson Child Therapy monitor progress and ensure sessions are aligned with each child’s needs and desired outcomes.
All individual sessions are 60 minutes in length and are thoughtfully divided into two parts: 45 minutes of one-on-one time with your child, followed by 15 minutes with both parent and child together at the end of the session. Children will receive high quality therapy support and work towards treatment goals in session through fun and play.
After a complimentary 15-minute consultation call, parents will receive instructions for completing intake paperwork through the SimplePractice portal before the initial session. The intake session is designed to feel welcoming and collaborative while reviewing goals, expectations, and treatment recommendations. Time is also dedicated to helping your child feel comfortable, supported, and connected from the very beginning.

“Her suggestions changed the way I managed my child's anxiety, and as a result we have seen a much better response at home.”
Andrea creates a warm, engaging environment where children can build trust, express emotions openly, and grow with confidence. Through compassionate, relationship-based care, each child is supported in a way that feels personal, encouraging, and developmentally appropriate.
With a strong focus on connection, play, and emotional safety, therapy sessions are designed to help children feel comfortable being themselves while building meaningful coping skills and resilience.
